Opportunities for fellowship, discipleship and service:

Children’s Activities: Children are an important part of the life of the church here at Heritage. With both fun and teachable events such as the Summer Activities, Back to School Blast, Parents Night Out, Vacation Bible School, Fall Festival and other activities, there are many ways to celebrate and nurture our children and their parents.

Children also learn about God's love for them through Wednesday night missions and children's choir. Heritage children have fun singing, doing crafts, playing games and learning that they are special to God.

Craft Bazaar: Do you like to make crafts? Have a special skill? We have a monthly craft night in the fellowship hall on the first Sunday night of each month at 5:00 pm. Throughout the year, we make crafts together to sell at our annual Craft Holiday Bazaar, which raises money for missions.  Join us for some fun and crafting!

Fellowship: Whether it’s the young adults of Common Grounds having a cookout or the singles meeting for some home-cooked food, fun and laughter, we enjoy a loving fellowship here at Heritage. Church-wide fellowships are also warm and welcoming, so check the monthly church newsletter, the Herald, for the next opportunity for some fun!

Service and Missions: We serve in the name of  Jesus Christ in a variety of ways in our community.
  • “Eleven on 11” is an opportunity on September 11 to do something constructive on a day that is known for destruction.
  • Ralphe Bunche Ministry: Heritage is becoming involved in the life of the teachers and students at the Ralph Bunche School located near the church.   We collect needed items for the school, and respond to the needs of this school and its staff.  There are many ways you can become involved in this ministry.
  • Care Card Ministry:  God cares, and Heritage does too. As we pray for people in the community, we try to send a note of care to these people to let them know we care. You can help by donating cards or contacting the Church office to help write care cards.
  • Give a Kid A Chance:  Heritage participated with many other churches in Cherokee County to provide children in need with school supplies and other needed items to start the school year off right.  We look forward to having an even greater participation in 2008!
  • Missions:  We partner with Missions organizations through the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship in various ways throughout the year.
New Opportunities: We are continually growing and adding new opportunities for involvement in the church.  Look inside our newsletter, the “Heritage Herald” for upcoming activities!
