  2. Jake, a native of Columbus, GA  is a recent transplant to Canton from Dallas, TX where he served on the staff of Wilshire Baptist Church.  He is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, AL where he met his wife Erin. After they married in 2000, Jake began seminary at Duke University.

  3. Jake has served in several churches before coming to Canton, and finds one of his greatest joys in spending time with people, and helping them to become formed as Christ followers. He and Erin enjoy exploring new corners of Cherokee County, cooking together, hosting people in their home, laughing, watching movies and playing with their lovable dog, Annabelle.

  10. David E. Harrison taught 32 years in band, orchestra, percussion and steel drums at Sequoyah High School in Canton Georgia. A native of West Georgia and a Bowdon High School graduate, he holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Georgia (1978), Master of Music Education, VanderCook College of Music, Chicago (1990), and a Specialist in Teacher Leadership (2001),  from North Georgia College and State University. He continues to be an active adjudicator and clinician in the North Georgia area. Mr. Harrison, a licensed minister, has a long family tradition of musical service and was active as a lay music leader before serving as an Interim Music Director for Cartersville FBC and Canton FBC. He is in his 12th year as Minister of Music at Heritage Baptist Fellowship, and has joined the faculty of Reinhardt University as the Supervisor of Music Education (candidate teacher evaluation) and is an author of 2 internet blogs; the “SEC Travel Blog” and “Life…According to Harry”.

  14. Valerie began work in March 2007, coming to Heritage with a wealth of experience in church work, most recently in Columbus, Georgia. The mother of three adult children, Valerie and her husband live in Cartersvillle.
